Hi there,

I am 43 years old french with spanish origins and leaving in Germany. I re-started classical guitars 2 years ago, and got interested in Flamenco and now try to learn it.

I must say I have some difficulty with the Flamenco position, I find it less ergonomic for the right hand than the classical one, so I am kind of alternating between the two positions. Hopefully I manage to get some more comfort with time.

Other than that I play on a Esteve 9F, it´s a nice sound, good value for money, however despites being officially a flamenco guitar (with cypres back and side) its sounds is very classical...when trying to reproduce other´s playing I am realizing that´s not gonna work with my guitar..

so i am on the hunt for a new guitar with a better flamenco sound. Any ideas or tips welcome (I like particular guitars with a bit of history).

Thanks for your forum and looking forward to interact/reading you.

Kind regards,

Carlos.

thanks Bernd!

Never yet been to Fulda, but I heard it´s a nice town. Is there some flamenco event from time to time?

There was a thread recently on flamenco guitar sellers in Germany. You might want to look at that.

Welcome to the foro.

Yes, Fulda is a nice small town and the last station into the north direction within the RMV transport and tariff association. Buying a weekend ticked at 35 € you can travel by regional passenger rail train through the whole area.

Just very less. We are only 2 guitarists here while I´m beaten by focal dystonia, so my tremolo really lacks nearly horrible :-( But in Frankfurt are sometimes flamenco events during the year .
