Paul Magnussen -> Have you been to the Córdoba Festival, and did you take photos? (Jun. 3 2016 16:45:42)

These are digital days, and every new release of a computer system boasts about its photo-sharing apps. My wife and I, and others, went on a hiking tour of Switzerland in 2006. At the start we all agreed to share our photos; and I’m glad we did so, because we wound up with a huge pool of pictures, from which we could select the best. I missed the first year, but I went to Paco Peña’s festival in 1982, and most years after that for about ten years. I took dozens, possibly hundreds of photos, now in several carefully-preserved albums. So it occurred to me that it would be cool if all of us who went, and felt so inclined, could pool our best photographs somewhere. That leaves the questions of exactly where, and the mechanics of allowing people to upload. At first, Paco’s Facebook page occurred to me; but then I looked a the Ayuntamiento de Córdoba’s website, and found that they have a selection of pictures from the festivals already. So maybe they would be amenable to hosting albums of the best photos from each year — and these were important events in flamenco history, with Sabicas, Mario Escudero, Lucía, Juan Serrano, Serranito and many more. And of course the Ayuntamiento took over over the Festival after Paco became tired of running it, bringing continuity up to the present time. So if we can get the mechanics nailed down, I’m thinking of asking Paco to suggest it to the Ayuntamiento. But, although I was a keen photographer at that initial time, I’ve now not kept up with the details of the digital possibilities. So I’d like to ask fellow Foro members, whether they went or not, for suggestions and criticisms as to how the above might be achieved; and if at the end the project looks feasible, I will mention it to Paco and/or the Ayuntamiento, and they can say yea or nay as the mood takes them.
