So, I'm getting married. I'm stoked about it and I'm really stoked about the honeymoon. My lady is a flamenco fan/student dancer and that's how we met so we want to go to the festival de Jerez for our honeymoon. For those who have been what's the best plan? Do we stay in the city center? Looks like hotels hiked their rates for that time of year.....Anything specific we should know about the festival? Any foro members going? It'd be nice to meet up for some watery Spanish beer and great fino :) Any advice people have about the festival in general would be great.
Also we're thinking to go to Majorca for a few days for a beachy romantic experience. Any places in Spain better for that kind of thing? We wanted to do the Caribbean but it's too much flying.......

Friends that go every year stay at Nova Centro.

Congrats Lenny!!!

I was there in this year's festival but I booked the cheapest hotel just a few days before going, so I don't have much advice to give you. There are many hotels near the casco histórico so I'm guessing if you book early enough there is no need to stay hosted far from there. I also met an english couple that said there are lots of apartments for rent not too far from the center, you have that possibility too.

There are a lot of great concerts that are not part of the official festival organization and they are very poorly publicized so I advise you to look up for the "off-festival" shows and to put them on a list.

I loved being there and if I manage to save up enough money I'll go again next year, it would be awesome to meet you.

Thanks Fred!
Hope you can make it, it'd be great to meet up!
Great info too man, I really appreciate it. An apartment would be awesome! Cant wait to just catch all the random organic shows at bars and what not.

Ahhhh I'm sorry the misunderstanding. I understood you will attend 'Fiesta de la Buleria' (September) but you're speaking about 'Festival Flamenco' on February. It's perfect, smooth weather...and I'm sure you will enjoy.
