I have some lemon oil here , and want to spruce up the fret board ,

question how long do/would you leave it on the fretboard before cleaning it off .

also with the treble strings (im lazy to clean them) what is folks best way to rejuvenate the strings , got some near pure alcohol here is that cool or any other ideas ?
