Nice guitar. Those are some very wee 19th fret pieces.

Only use it on Entre dos Aguas, works fine [:D]

And here you have the reason why some guitars only have 18 frets.

Luthiers are not perfect human beings and basically no handmade thing, incl. high end flamenco guitars, are perfect.
Im 99% sure the wee sized fret 19 is because of a small but insignificant luthier error. The builder (whoever it was [:D]) has simple drilled the guide hole for making the rosette and the soundhole 1.5 - 2mm higher on the soundboard than he/she normally would have done and havent noticed untill the moment the fretboard was made.
Does it make the guitar a worse guitar or worth less money. No! Only for those playing 'Entre dos aguas' with a huge Cello like left hand vibrato.[8D]

I´ve never ended up with such short fret 19, but I´ve been close and I´ve also made longer than usual ones. Its because I´m a living wonderfull imperfect human being. [:)] I´ve also made a slightly wonky guitar once (Mini Quasimodo), but it played so well that the client accepted a small discount and bought the guitar. I made myself another assembly jig after that one. We are allowed to be imperfect but not stupid.

Just out of curiosity: why in this case did you prefer to install just an half side golpeador?
Nice guitar indeed.

I described it in the linked thread, sorry it's disjointed. Whoever owned this guitar before me had replaced a normal single piece with a two piece that actually meets at a perfect seam between the B and G strings. I was worried that any problem taking off a Golpeador that might cause damage to the original finish and color, might require the typical white or black cover up plates, which I hate. But I would accept only the lower half (lesser of two evils) since it was an option. The top half, like most of my guitars, was not damaged at all. So I was thinking that might have been the original idea, since we need to change more often that bottom area perhaps they did this style on purpose to facilitate frequent replacements. It certainly took less time. The problem was really alighning the seam, which in the end I screwed up. Next time I change it I will get it right.
