ORIGINAL: Echi Just out of curiosity: why in this case did you prefer to install just an half side golpeador? Nice guitar indeed. I described it in the linked thread, sorry it's disjointed. Whoever owned this guitar before me had replaced a normal single piece with a two piece that actually meets at a perfect seam between the B and G strings. I was worried that any problem taking off a Golpeador that might cause damage to the original finish and color, might require the typical white or black cover up plates, which I hate. But I would accept only the lower half (lesser of two evils) since it was an option. The top half, like most of my guitars, was not damaged at all. So I was thinking that might have been the original idea, since we need to change more often that bottom area perhaps they did this style on purpose to facilitate frequent replacements. It certainly took less time. The problem was really alighning the seam, which in the end I screwed up. Next time I change it I will get it right.
