This is my first post, so first of all, a warm hello to everybody!

Recently whilst listening to a few tunes I've heard the singer use a word that sounds like 'doma' or 'tomar' most often in passing falcetta's. Can anyone enlighten me on what, if anything, this word means?

Here's an example from the brilliant Estrella Morente at 3:50 mins:

I'm curious as I've starting learning Spanish and haven't come across this word word before.

Thanks!
Stuart

Welcome!
It's just toma.
You'll hear "toma que toma!" A lot to.
Literally just means "take it". But it's just another jaleo now that people say when the feeling is right.
Que no gente?

If you want to understand the meaning of 'toma que toma', this is the worst video of the history.... [:D][:D]

Leñador has explained perfectly the meaning.

Could be traslated like 'come on'? I think so...

and....welcome!!
