"A prominent characteristic of this style are the melodic lines covering a range of an octave and a half (the fifth scale degree is heard at the beginning and throughout). It is similar to Paquirri 2 and el Quino in its breakneck delivery and arrangement of lines of verse, but the melodic descent in these two styles starts at the tonic. The beginning is similar in the style Charamusco, although the next-to-last sung line in Paquirri 4 starts with the same high notes heard in the beginning, and the conclusion of the soleá of Charamusco involves a lower register."
