Juan, just out of curiosity, when was the last time you performed in public? If you are anything like me, you probably build things up in your mind too much. I don't usually have social anxiety (more often social boredom [8D]) but I do tend to dread performing. I just assume that as soon as I get on stage I will panic, and somehow spontaneously combust, even though that has never happened before. And then, as soon as I actually get in that situation, it's the opposite of how I think it will be. I'm nervous at first, but exhilarated at the same time, and focused. I also find that different stage setups induce anxiety in widely varying levels. If it's a theater, with the audience dark and far away, it's great, and it's very easy to be inspired in the moment. But if it's in a fluorescent lighted library with a bunch of kids sitting 2 feet away from you, anxiety city [:D]
