Fretless anyone?
Ever played the Gibson Les Paul fretless wonder guitar? It actually had frets, but the were so close to the fretboard that you did not even feel the difference between metal and wood.
I have a collection of fretwire from when I got involved with this craft, back in the 1960's and have seen all styles, even the bar frets, and done many tied on gut frets. It can be a study, and can drive a luthier crazy. Why fret about it?

Played here in many , many different styles by Guthrie ,, worth checking out the video as he has some good ideas on how to play it ...his country playing at about 5 mins is crazy good ....as is all the rest actually
