bartstenhouse -> Reintroduction + Crowdfunding Campaign help (Aug. 21 2015 11:33:25)

Hey Guys,

Just thought I'd re-introduce myself, since I haven't been on here properly for quite a while. My name is Bart Stenhouse and I am an Australian jazz fusion guitarist/electric mandolinist focused on combining jazz, rock, flamenco and North Indian Classical influences into my compositions/albums with my own fusion groups (I play on electric and flamenco guitars). I plan to try and hang around a bit more often than I have been in the past and be a more active member in this great online community.

Basically I am a jazz fusion player who brings flamenco concepts across to my original compositions through studying this music as much as I can, similar texturally to Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin (two big influences of mine). I play a Anders Eliasson 2A blanca guitar, which I love so much since I visited him in Huelva and bought it. It plays so well and records amazingly for my music. I hope to return and buy another one of his instruments next trip.

Earlier this year I recorded two jazz fusion albums with some of the best up and coming jazz fusion players in my country and am planning to film a live concert DVD in October to play the albums live (with the help of a lot of amazing people). All of this I am trying to achieve with a Pozible crowdfunding campaign (similar to Kickstarter) to get it all out there with!

The link is www.pozible.com/bartstenhouse if you want to have a listen to some of the preview mixes off of the albums as well as hear/see what it is all about. We have reached 50% funding in two weeks which is great, but could use all the help we can get from the music/guitar community to get it over the line!

I have studied music in India, Spain and North America so am happy to help anyone else out if they have any questions in relation to any of this. I look forward to chatting about everything music and guitar related with you all as time goes on. Anyway, nice to meet you. Hope you like the music and want to help us out!

All the best

Regards, Bart.

Welcome, Bart.

Unfortunately, could not check out your music on the website, which may well be related to internet restrictions where I am.
If you donĀ“t mind, it would be nice if you could upload one or several mp3s here on the foro.

Thanks,

Ruphus
