hi guys

I would like to ask you for a favour. Can you recommend any youtube channel where people teach how to play basic rumba rhythms? I found few but I don't think those tutorials can be useful for me. I have troubles to learn anything.

You need to go to the best source....our one & only ROMBSIX the King of Rumba!

He's a awesome player + a really nice guy [:D]

Our man Ramzi has did a series of videos on rumba strumming patterns, Ricardo's done videos on this too, there are probably others here I've missed. Ramzi also has a slowed down Entre Dos Agua's tutorial if you want to learn that solo. Try plugging some stuff into the foro search like "rumba strumming patterns" and you should strike gold [;)]

Only thing I do different is the first stroke coming from a rested thumb position rather than from the air as he does. Also the 5th stroke he does as a no nail golpe with finger tips and thumb above the strings, but more often I just slap and mute all the strings with a bassy thump of the entire hand. What he does here I use when I do a slightly different pattern where there are double thumb hits above the string.
