I borrowed this from Elliot Fisk and found it quite useful. I think I heard Todd rip through a similar pattern. I just learned it which is why there are some hesitations. (Going up is PIM 4 times then going down is AMI,AMI,etc....

Here's the same pattern in what I think is a more musical context, I find it hard to get inspired by exercises that I don't find musical. Begins at 51s;




This kind of stuff works well with villa Lobos Etude 1 and Leo Brouwer Etude 6 too.
