Hello Guys,

I'm planning to purchase a magnetic thickness gauge to do measurement after assembling the guitar.

So I was wondering, I know that Anders & Andy have Hacklinger, which one do you recommend me ? Hacklinger or Magic Probe ? (precision /easy of use).

Thanks

I am very tempted by the magic probe because of it's mapping caperbilites. Although having never used one I can't say if it is any good. Although I do remember the guy who developed it started a thread on the foro about it many moons ago.

I have used a hacklinger and it also seems pretty good. Probably a little slow going for my taste these days.

It's going to be a while before I get one of these though as I have been thinking about getting a heat blanket and bring my bending jig back to life. W

I use the Magic Probe For a year now and I'm happy with this tool.
It works very well and accurate!

But i a little bit expensive, the one that Keith talks about is arround 160$, a cheap version of Hacklinger, but i don't know if it accurate as Hacklinger !
