I will then be taking a train to the South of France (Provence) and eventually moving my way up to Normandy where we are planning to visit Sainte-Mère-Église which my wife has been wanting to visit for a long time. That is where her grandfather, who was a Lieutenant Colonel in the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII, parachuted during D-Day and led an assault to capture the town. He flew the first American flag over this town and which was also the first occupied territory in France. No doubt Spain and flamenco will be the high point of your trip, Shroomy. But the visit to Sainte-Mere-Eglise, where your wife's grandfather parachuted during D-Day and led an assault to capture the town, will be a great tribute to him. He was part of the greatest invasion force in history; not only the thousands of ships and landing craft that participated, but men like her grandfather who parachuted in, and the pilots who flew the 12,000 aircraft that were in the air from before dawn to well into the night providing air cover. You'll get a chill up your spine thinking about it in that place. Bill
