Those shops usually also sharpen fine circular saw blades. It's better to patronize those shops if possible. They can take down the specs of your band saw and provide you with the most accurate fitting blades and usually less expensive for higher quality than store bought pre welded blades. Bimetal blades are really nice too if they have that blade stock. It means the teeth are made of harder metal than the band, they last longer. A few bucks more per blade, but work it.
