So I thought I'd recycle some old corks, and make a guitar stand. I'm pleased with the result. It's stable, yet flexible. All the corks come from wines we had together with best friends so in a way or another it's quite uniqe [:D] [:D]

That's certainly an innovative and unique guitar stand, Beno. And the wines drunk over the years no doubt add a touch of nostalgic sentiment to it as well.

My only question is, although it is difficult to tell from the photographs, the back support looks very short (most guitar stands support the neck), and I would want to make sure that the guitar's center of gravity is such that it prevents the guitar from toppling backwards if the stand is jostled. I assume you have checked it out and are satisfied.

Cheers,

Bill

Novel idea!

By the way, I like your saddle too. Is it ebony or horn?

Actually I went by my intuition and an empiric way. It's stable, could bear much more weight than my 1 kg blanca. As You can see on the last picture, the corks can be flipped over right in front of the lower end of the top (moreover the natural shape of the guitar is easily took by the flippable corks automatically), and I would say it holds it to the back support. I also feel somehow it's elastic/flexible quality gives more 'stability' if you get what I mean
