etta -> Glenn Canin nomex doubletop blanca (Feb. 16 2015 16:04:41)

I have been playing a new Canin nomex doubletop blanca for a little over a month. It is an exceptional guitar with great clarity and balance, trebles through basses. The tone is very dry overall, although very complex tones can be created with ease. It has a very quick, responsive, percussive attack, and volume and power that are almost unchecked. I have been playing a Canin Brazilian nomex double top for almost two years, and the blanca is dryer, as you might expect, but also slightly louder even with a very low action. I have two other Canin's, a blanca and a negra which I traded for or bought used. They are exceptional by most any standards, but the double tops are in a class of their own. I have been playing these double tops very hard almost everyday, and I have no reservations about their long term stability and durability. Traditionalist should and will raise questions about new designs, but I believe we will see more doubletops in the future. You can see Jason McGuire playing the new blanca a few hours after it was strung by going to youtube and searching for ....glenn canin double top nomex blanca guitar, or just google it (Jason is wearing a gray shirt in this video; will identify it from others).
