Paschi -> Saludos from Hamburg/Germany (Feb. 13 2015 19:10:22)

after being here for a while let me introduce myself...

I´m 34, from Hamburg/Germany
and I´m (thankfully) crazy for Flamenco in all its Beauty
(Cante,Baile, Toque, Lutherie...) I myself am playing Guitar since 2005/2006 and I began and stayed with Flamenco Guitar ever since.

First Contact to Flamenco was in 2002 in Granada and it was a Camaron de la Isla impersonator. A day after I met him I bought some CD´s of Camaron and with listening to him I began to fall in love with this Art. (by then i didnt know anything about Flamenco and had no clou who Paco de lucia or Tomatito was!)

2005 I decided to buy (my first Instrument ever) a Manuel Rodriguez y Hijos for about 300 Euros and I began with the good old Juan Martin Books to get an idea.

In 2006 I was lucky to meet my Teacher for the next 6-7 Years. He introduced me to almost everything in Flamenco and took me to the Dancing Schools in Hamburg "what was really important for me" (Yes we have like 5-10 Flamenco Dancing Schools over here ;) )

since then I had several workshops, private lessons in Hamburg or Spain with :
Amir John Haddad, Agustin de la Fuente, Javier Leal, Pepe Torres, Pedro Sierra, Manolo Franco, Mariano Martin, and others ...
and I was able to play/learn in Dancing-Schools/Workshops in Hamburg and Sevilla from Juan Polvillo, Pilar Ortega, Joaquin Ruiz...

I really like every aspect in Flamenco by now I´m beginning to think about making some Guitar-Building Workshops (not for profession just for possession!) because I want to know all the Details about the Instrument I´m/we´re playing

well after all this been told I´m an Aficionado forever and I learn every Day, bit by bit and I´m sure One Life is not enough to know everything about Flamenco

!!! Progress not Perfection !!!

Saludos al Foro

Paschi

Willkommen zum Foro.

If you've been lurking on the foro, then you're probably aware of some of the other players here who are based in Germany. If not, there are some. FYI.

Welcome! What a list of who's who you learned from! I'm pretty jealous. Lol
What an advantage starting out loving cante, that's great. I had to cultivate an appreciation, took a little time but now I'm hooked.
