I spent around a year in andalucia, there's lots of flamenco aficionados in granada and cordoba but the place to study seriously and with people totally dedicated to flamenco is Jerez, most guitarists can give lessons if you ask them, the famous ones will take around 30 euros per hour for private classes but it's better to hang out with guitarists and learn for free, there are some bars where you can find flamenco aficionados and in general people are very open in cadiz area, not like in cordoba for example, there people are quite cold. After three months in jerez I never saw flamenco on the streets except in the holidays, when people do their zambomba thing. Even though flamenco seems to be less popular every year in andalucia, you can find some in almost every city, visit peñas flamencas and ask people. I highly recommend Jerez and Granada, in my opinion they are nicer than city of cadiz, sevilla and cordoba. you can find similar topics on travel if you scroll couple pages back in the general discussion.
