Hi all,

I´ve got a new nice and powerful toy called Flamenco Compás Builder. It is way of a further development of Rons Flamenco Master. Normally it has nothing to do with it, but it has some very useful functions I would like to have on Rons Software.

The developer is a professional German flamenco guitarist, Herbert Dapper, who later studied computer science. It is kind of a smaller version of Gerhard Graf-Martinez´ Flamenco Percusión and the online metronome of Oscar Herrero. Using it as a simple rhythm combo you can chose between 19 compases. The speed can easily be adjusted to personal taste or abilty. It´s possible to setup an increasing speed while practicing falsetas. You even can create your own compás for various palos and export them to wav or mp3. If you play some concrete flamenco pieces, you can create a compás version that ends strictly on the last chord.

Pre-counting and the merging of single rhythm parts allows you create countless versions for any palo. So it´s possible to bring your own percussion group "out of the box" to your next solo gig. All sounds were recorded in a professional studio.

I´m totally exalted by this wonderful software that I can´t hold back to give you some info on my first impressions. It´s easy to use and runs stable on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and some Mac OS X versions. For mobile metronome use. iOS7 for iPhone and iPad is available, too. As Herbert told me, an Android version is being made.

This smart and simple tool doesn´t require a powerful up to date pc, so users with older and slower computers can use it as well.

I highly recommend to check the website for more info and video instructions. You´ll also find a demo, where another professional guitarist, Jörg Hofmann, shows how he used this tool to create his accompanyment for his own bulerías. A nice falseta of him is offered free of charge in the download section.

Is there an expected release date for the Android version? Are the phone apps the same price as the PC software?

The Android version should be rolled out in May/June 15. The phone apps don't cost anything, everyone who bought the PC/Mac version (either Standard or Professional version) can use the apps for free. The phone apps are made to enable users playing solo compás or their own compases and accompaniments they made at home on PC/Mac

Here Jörg Hofmann plays his bulerías "Inspiración" accompanied by his own compás version on this software:

Never thought I'd hear a buleria that belongs in an elevator.

bernd -> RE: Flamenco Compás Builder metronome (Jan. 16 2015 2:25:52)

I like it. This bulería is anything else than one of those boring Ottmar Liebert fake palos.

Aretium -> RE: Flamenco Compás Builder metronome (Jan. 17 2015 2:14:22)

It has good ideas, but it lacks the passion and the dynamics.

So you never listenned to a guy called Vicente Amigo? [:D]

No, not Linux.

Jörg is a very good player and i enjoyed that bulería very much.
I use the compás builder too, i like it
it's a good tool, not as good as dr. compás but it's good

Too bad about Vicente, he really used to produce the goods (I remember him when he was 15), and still does on occasion. But it’s the same with musicians across the board: they need to put a crust on the table, and Easy Listening provides it.

So great folk-singers turn into country singers (or singer-songwriters), classical orchestras record Beatles medleys, and great flamenco guitarists join Ottmar Liebert [:'(]

Yes, as long as he doesn´t play [:D]

Leñador -> RE: Flamenco Compás Builder metronome (Jan. 18 2015 20:33:12)

Are you able to buy the standard version and upgrade later to the pro version for 40 euros??

bernd -> RE: Flamenco Compás Builder metronome (Jan. 18 2015 20:53:44)

I ´ve got my version by someone as a present. So I have no info on such terms and conditions. I suggest to ask Francisco57. He is the developer and master of the rules [;)]

Francisco57 -> RE: Flamenco Compás Builder metronome (in reply to Leñador) (Jan. 19 2015 17:55:39)

Yes, it's possible to buy the 19,-€ Standard version and then upgrade with 40,-€ to Professional version,
