Hi folks! I have been taking a break from flamenco and have gone back to my classical roots... Here is the result of a couple days of work. It feels great to get back into Barrios. I have always loved this piece -- the slow parts are very lyrical, and the faster passages are really fun to play (especially 1:55 - 2:06!)

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year! [:)]

That was great. Clean I like it.

Nice playing, Daniel. Great tone and expression.

I love Barrios!

Thank you, Stephen and Miguel! Much appreciated. ^_^

Learned this beautiful prelude earlier this evening... one of my favorites by Barrios...

You just learned it today!? Exquisitely sensitive!

Mhm! Though it has been in my subconscious for many years, from John Williams' "From the Jungles of Paraguay" recording... Thank you so much!

Daniel, I know what you mean--I have listened to that album many, many times. I have been played "Limosna", "Las Abejas", "La Catedral", "Danza Paraguaya", "Maxixe" and the "Vals in Dm". I have a feeling it's going to be a lot harder playing Barrios that's _not" from that album!

No kidding! I think it may have been one of the first classical guitar albums I ever heard... if nothing else, it was definitely a huge inspiration for me to start practicing more seriously. I think I was 8 or 9 when I first heard it. Such a great recording. [:)] Do you have any recordings of your Barrios performances?
