Hi i am new here and happy to found this website. Helpfull and kind people here.
I have one question.
I am a little bit confused about the Rasquado before a Falseta starts on beat 10.

In the moment i used a single "emai" rasqudo to jump in from 7 to 9 to start playing on 10.
But I am not shure that this ist correct. Can tell me anyone something about this secret thing ;-)

Hi there

I think I know what you mean but if you could give us an example that will be better.

And by the way there are no rules of what you should play before beginning a falseta on 10, as long as it's in compas (and that means more than just keeping in time).

And it's certainly not secret, but just like any music discipline you should listen to lots of it to know what you're supposed to sound like and begin by copying some simple stuff.

I don't tend to rasgueado between 6-9 when I start a falseta on 10. This falseta is on 10. I just golpe the beat and lightly upstroke the and of the beat.
Disregard that after the falseta I break compas lolol [:D]

You can also do nothing :-) When I have falsetas around 10, after playing the the Bb on 3 I usually hit some kind of A chord voicing on 6 (with or without golpe) and just let it sustain through until the falseta picks up. At faster tempos especially its nice to have that space, you don't need to be playing something all the time.

A/G with M golpe downstroke and fast upstroke is a good one, for example.

There are MANY options. I've done two on the video, first with golpe and second with amii rasguea. Fast then slow. Sorry the sound quality isn't great but you get the idea...

It's mainly about the expression or feeling on count 8, as it is an accented beat. The two golpe thing (7-8), or playing through, or rassguedo all centers on count 8. My favorite is to do a fast and strong "whip" style rasgueado (P up with golpe under strings using back of thumbnail, a down, i down and mute with the palm) after 6, emphasizing count 7. Then a lone golpe on count 8. Again it is all about that count 8 so you can feel count 10 as the "pick up" notes to count 12.
