I scarfed in a few pieces of liner her ean there where it was gappy and added a pillar on top of the horizontal brace near the neck that is unsupported. Cross the 'i's and dot the 't's.
The corner of the cutaway with carved corner block like a cello corner or that on Florentine style archtop cutaway.
This bracing with the Bouchet bar is really tight and makes the high notes over the body percussive and clear. But the mid range is huge, volume + tone. Although it is a tight instrument I expect a lot of hard playing will render it even more open. It is doubtful it will open up a then "mush out".
I'm anxious to follow this one through the years. Guitarmakers don't get constant feedback from every buyer. It would be overwhelming and often customers don't l have time to keep you informed. But I suspect most other builders have a few instruments they consciously track for various reasons. I'll be tracking this one as much as possible.
On that subject, I have been trying to track down a seven string I lost contact with to see how it sounds now. The feedback from players two, three and five years out of the shop is important. I especially want to know at about two years how it sounds.
