I did this since decades and never had a slippage. The larger foto is with Daddario Fluorocarbon Strings HT which are really slick...

That is interesting...

I see you melted the tips of the treble strings with heat. I do that too to keep the strings from slipping.

Do you melt the tips for comfort reasons?

No, I melt them also for security reasons, but it has never come that far with this knot. With other knots I was sometimes lucky having made the little security blobs ... they were the last stop before the string slipped

I've never seen this done before, looks very secure.
