Yes, his playing was fantastic, but I couldn´t stand the palmeros, so I stopped the video after a couple of minuts. IMHO, palmas like that has nothing to do with compás or soniquete. Its just noise. But I like the guitars rosette. It reminded me that its been a long since I made a zigzag rosette myself.

Agreed, Miguel's still one of my all time favorites but the palmas on his album kill me. Especially that buleria por rondeña, they sound like a Casio.

on the contrary you palmas hatters...I am quite tired of the pre recorded "polite" loop pattern that all the modern recordings have for over a decade already. I prefer the imperfect live and in your face palmeros.

Ideal is controlled palmas with dynamics and a timber and rhythm to match the situation. But if it's between polite loop and people clapping eighth notes as loud as they can I'll take the polite loop....

I totally agree with Ricardo. Current clapping patterns has been too standarized. About loud claps, old recordings has this things as in old Pastora Pavon bulerías o La perla's. It may not be the true live sound.

Amazing player and composer. The theme of the falseta starting 7:10 reminds me of a Andean piece.

I agree with you Anders that rosete is really nice, would not mind having a guitar sporting that design

His falseta is out of compas at 3:25....same deal on his recording. 9 beats in there.

(Falseta starts at 3:06 on 12 and counts out to 12 up till 3:21...the low F bass on 12 is the last full compas. Starting on that F it's
12,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,
12,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 (resolve melody on 10 as if it is 1) then resume 12's :
1,2,3,4,5,6-10 rasgueado
