ManosqueVuelan -> Opinions and input on Cordoba 45FP and HANNABACH "FLAMENCO" (827HT)? (Oct. 25 2014 15:57:50)

I recently purchased a pack of strings(HANNABACH "FLAMENCO" (827HT)) from GuitarSalon and I am wondering if they're considered a respectable brand of flamenco strings with sharp trebles and aggressive basses. For the past few months I've been using Savarez high tension strings and I felt a little curious and bored so I decided to try out something new like what I've been told was a decent brand(Hannabach).

As for the Cordoba 45FP I believe some say it is quite heavy and comparable to a classical guitar, but because it is a blanca and has friction pegs with a fine action I was wondering it it would be considered acceptable in flamenco terms. One of my interests for the guitar is due to it being the only affordable options I have for a guitar that has friction pegs and is a blanca. Thoughts?

You bought the strings, use them and draw your own conclusions.

Regarding the guitar I can only say that I find it terribly expensive for a sycamore laminate.

i agree about the price a laminated sycamore--way too much. a navarro will cost the same and is much better. you can buy a navarro with pegs. the couple of 45fp that i have played had terrible peg jobs. the fit was poor. the diameters of the peg shafts were very large and once those puppies go you will need to have the holes filled and re-drilled/reamed given that i am not sure one can find pegs with a larger diameter size. given the poor fit i would imagine a new peg job would be very much sooner rather than later.

Had a Cordoba 45 fm. I was not impressed. The practice Yamaha 171 I use is better.
Had a Navarro concert classical, the rosewood cracked. I currently am dealing with cracking issues on a Navarro negra. my 2 cents.
