bernd -> Alegrias by Pedro Sierra (Oct. 12 2014 13:42:05)

Has anyone tabbed this out or know where I can purchase ist?

Isn't it one of the best ever ?
I have a DVD which this was taken from - also with Jose Cortes and a young Jose Luis Monton
'La guitarra Espanola'
No tabs I know of
But should spend some time working some parts of this out - into transcribe
Never tire of this
Thank you for the reminder
Let us know if you find a purchase link

Could you rip this part from the dvd? Is there already a better quality version on YT?

I always loved this but the quality just isn't there...

I have a copy in VHS from Gabriél Cabrera, but I have no technique to extract the music track. All I can provide is to extract the music file from the youtube video if it might help. Just let me know.

I'll look into a rip but the quality still ain't great - but will give it a go
Maybe tweak it in a DAW
Still a distortion of sorts on the audio

Arash -> RE: Alegrias by Pedro Sierra (Oct. 13 2014 10:45:59)

I have the same quality.
I think there is no better quality available.

This Alegrias is my favourite

The dvd version also looks and sounds like this? If so, forget it [:D]

If it's better, just rip it raw and convert it with good settings, that should do it.

I can provide you a place for you to just drag and drop the converted file.

Onto it now
Just installed 'handbrake' (or any suggestions for alt software? ) into my Mac so first time trying a rip
I'll keep you posted but as mentioned the audio ain't so great

not much cleaner from the audio - definately phasing issues - image a lot better though
the dvd was around 4 euro

Sr Martins and Bernd
i sent you a link to the Wav...largest file format i could use..straight of the DVD otherwise
let us know if any issue
as you can hear the distortion is there...tried logic etc...hard to polish a turd of an audio
when putting into transcribe reducing all the Mids makes it more palatable
ill see how the footage comes up

bernd -> RE: Alegrias by Pedro Sierra (Oct. 14 2014 9:55:40)

The reverb and distortion is impossible to get out. Maybe some influence by EQing makes some passages better to identify. I´ll check it over the weekend.

i just edited this post

here is the mp3 ill work from
removed the stereo imaging
reversed phase
eq'd some frequencies out
compressed
and noise gate
all the stuff you shouldnt do a flamenco guitar

also slowed down to 70%

it sounds 'workable' - more like a "hot' iphone recording _ just cant remove all the distortion _
ill try to grab a few compas's over this week

again glad you posted this Bernd
