Permission for size differs on the forum, depending on the category.
What will do fine for most cases though ( in order to not cause inflated screens / scrolling ) is a size not larger than 200 KB.
For average motifs that might mean a pixel size at no more than 500x380 or so.

Wait ... How to upload:
In the editing window click on "Click here to upload", then select the picture from your harddisc. And if you want the picture to be readily seen in your post check "Embed picture in post".
