pink -> all change (Sep. 14 2014 21:32:12)

So our house is sold and we have become the homeless ,nomadic family of ''Pink''
Nothing of consequence can stand in our way. We hold the world in our hands. We are the life force. We are the power . Go Pink go!!! ....Oh sorry.!!!?
We are due to leave the UK in the next couple of weeks....heading for Spain.
This waiting game is quite the one. Can't wait to go but must tidy the loose ends.
First booking has been made. I'm the only flamenco head in my family so, nothing aimed at this for the first leg, but.....!!!
The next stage is going to have to be influenced by the addiction.....I will control, I will be satisfied, me , me, me ,hahaha.
May; or may not get online from the off.
Has been a pleasure getting to know you lot since I joined.
Will post before I go and will try to post whilst away.
Just to let you all know I am the same old tosser I've always been.....b ollocks (testicles) to the lot of you.
This is a term of affection in my world so don't take offence. If you do then.......?????!!!!
Please accept the middle finger.....I have one in at the moment!!!!!
Love you all. Seriously you are all perfect just the way you are.
X

Edit....
Please don't kill this one off....it isnt here to insult or upset!!

Hals und Beinbruch, Pink. May the wind be always at your back and the sun upon your face. You are embarking on a great adventure. Make the most of it. Keep a journal. You will be glad you did in later years.

Cheers,

Bill

Bill,
If my writing of a journal could hold words within it as captivating as yours and Richard Jernigan's mostly are , then I will be a happy soul.....even if I am only able to hop with a broken leg!!!
Thank you.

Mark2 -> RE: all change (Sep. 15 2014 0:25:48)

Best of luck to you and family Pink! Enjoy it!

Anders Eliasson -> RE: all change (Sep. 15 2014 7:47:50)

Good luck.
Do you have any ideas about where you will go? Spain is big and the culture is different.

What are you going to do in Spain?

Thank you Anders and gerundino63. We have initially booked into a villa on a resort on the coast around Cartagena, Murcia.
Whilst the resort itself is not very 'real' in terms of proper culture,it does offer a place for my family to unwind and enjoy swimming and various sports.
From here (we are using this as a home from home on a 4 month rental) we are going to go on shorter one/two week trips, again renting villas, in different areas.
I am the only flamenco lover in the family so need to ensure that the family get what they need. I have a guitar with me, and I've got my dog.....Sam the cocker spaniel. A few good walks will keep me happy too!!
We are all keen to experience some of the real Spain....but having a family in tow does change how we travel from area to area and obviously where we go .
We are all extremely excited......just getting out of the UK and having the time to enjoy where we are visiting together will be awesome.
If you can suggest some'' must see '' destinations, then please do. We are travelling by car but also plan to use trains where we can.

Anders Eliasson -> RE: all change (Sep. 15 2014 11:21:32)

Its pretty easy to find apartments (and houses) to rent for some month off season in most of the coast.
My mother used to live in Almuñecar on the Granada coast. There is some flamenco in the area, but not much, but its a nice place to be. Its one of the few coastal resorts that still has some of its original atmosphere when you walk around in the city. And Granada is 80km up the motor highway. Or you can take the scary windy road up through the mountains. Very beautifull, rugged and dry.
Its not so easy to find houses there, because of the mountains going all the way down to the coast, but there are some roomy apartments with outside space and view of the ocean. Its a nice place to walk doggy (and yourself).
Enjoy golf resort life.[:D]

Escribano -> RE: all change (Sep. 15 2014 12:21:51)

I agree with Anders about the Costa Tropical south of Granada. La Herradura is a nice, genuine Spanish resort and if you contact Stephen Hill here he may know some small houses for rent by the week in the town. Visit him in his workshop, he is a really nice fellow. Good for a day trip to Granada up in the mountains but well served with a motorway.

Thanks for the suggestions.
We shall look at visiting where you and Simon have suggested.
