well, maybe one day you´ll be ready for a 20 minut opus.... To me, rock and blues guitar with to much soloing is like flamenco with to much falsetaing. It just ends up being notes. Just like I dont get these long Coltrane solos where it to me sounds like was trying to unbend the sax by blowing air into it instead of playing music on it. (hard work unbending a metal tube that way) I really like a good solo. All instruments, all styles, but it needs to have something around, so that it kind of pops out. Escribano, Cool playing and nice guitar [:D] I agree with Anders...I too played rock guitar...When I would write an original I used to write verse, chorus, verse...Used a lot of melody with some of the blues style licks...TRIADS and CHORD TONES RULE! But even as a guitarist, I CAN'T stand long solo playing...So when writing a song I would write it no longer than 2.50 or 3 minute so that I would not make the average listener bored... Now a days besides flamenco guitar, I DIG jazz/chord melody style...
