Ahmed Flamenco -> Solid wood vs laminated (Aug. 7 2014 22:16:07)

Is the laminated wood a package of thin solid pieces or the powder of solid wood compressed
and how can I differetiate between them?

Laminated wood is veneers or thin sheets glued together in a sandwich.
The other thing you're talking about sounds like particle board. There are different kinds of that but they aren't used in guitars (I hope).

I think I am using solid wood as it was cut from big piece of wood
