Bulerias2005 -> New Recording Set-Up (Jul. 29 2014 16:39:28)

Hey all! Just wanted to share a quick thing I recorded using a new home studio set-up. After wanting to get one going for a long time, I finally set it up... Pro Tools, mics, studio monitors, the works... Here is the result of not even a day's worth of fiddling around with the equipment. This is a fragment of a composition I am working on:

Edit - Sorry if the link wasn't working earlier, it should be good now. :)

:) :) :) I will continue to improve and optimize the sound but the early results are extremely promising. I love having the freedom to record whenever the inspiration strikes (which has oftentimes been past midnight! haha)

Well, it's not quite as good as the last clip you posted (i.e. the one from PDL on Pimientito's discography thread (!))...

More seriously, I'm not an audiophile, but it sounds great to my ears. Compositionally, I liked the short piece you posted. Hopefully, you'll post the whole thing once it's complete.

;) Thank you. This set up is inspiring me to get back into arranging. Here is a piece by the recently departed Charlie Haden, originally performed by his Liberation Music Orchestra...
