Luthiers--
I've wondered this for some time. When building, do you imagine a string material (or even a particular brand set of strings) that would be optimal for the finished guitar?
Does this consideration change depending on whether the top of spruce or cedar?
How about between a blanca and a negra?
I recently had a cedar negra land in my lap, as it were, and I'm wondering what trebles might sound best given the wood combination.
