Hello Flamenco lovers. Disclaimer: I am a freelance writer/journalist. But also a Flamenco lover. I am a Spain-lover who has visited Seville, Granada and Cadiz recently, and I am visiting Seville again from Wednesday. I'm researching the practise of traditional Flamenco specifically in Seville, and the challenges facing it. For example, the closure of certain shows and venues that catered to a traditional Flamenco crowd in Seville; and other challenges facing Flamenco organisers/artists. I am really interested to speak to local aficionados who can help me get a better perspective and picture of the situation of Flamenco in Seville with regard to venue closures - are they affecting the authentic Flamenco scene? If so, how? If not, why not? Are other factors affecting the enjoyment of authentic Flamenco by locals in Seville? Please let me know if you would like to comment, either on or off record. I am very much just researching at present. Many thanks for reading. I work for quality magazines and broadsheets and am not interested in sensationalism or pushing agendas. If you would like to know my credentials let me know.
