So anyway I spent a lot of yesterday passionately stating my opionions a bout the blues.

Then this morning I thought 'Hold on David you never play blues. What's going on there ?' And as I reflected I realised that I do have very strong feelings about blues and I should play a lot more of it to get the ideas out my ear and into my hands. Via a fretboard rather than a keyboard.

So I have decided to show solidarity with Simon by uploading some of my progress.
Yesterday was G so today D in the style of Paco Birdking.

Now this is crazy sloppy but I am having such a good time getting into it that I am going to allow myself to be held up to ridicule.

For a change[:D]

Thanks for the support.

I never thought I would appreciate picado in discussing the blues [8|] One misses the nuance of half-tone bends, pull-off and hammer-on sustain with nylon but you should persevere, you'd be a natch for jazz/blues. Do you have an electric? If not, I could assemble a monster for you for little money.

I have played blues backing tracks(not very jazzy) with flamenco techniques for about two years, great practice and even occasional bending can be done. pull off and hammer on naturally is just as easy as on electric

Cheers , I've got a vintage Ibanez Destroyer at my mums but I never play it.

For sure there is a lot I am not doing here but wow there is so so much to do.
