While the video's not great in its entirety, at least it has some good clips.

And it's not like that ridiculous video of Paco or Vicente (can't remember which) featuring the dude on horseback at the beach. [:D][:D]

IMO, that is one of the major flaws with flamenco videos (not the live ones, those are as good as the music being played).

Even 2014 records suffer from the iberian peninsula reverb syndrome. Thats the first major cheese point... then comes the video that 90% of the times looks like advertising for summer vacation.


They should look at rock and metal videos. Those are like little stories that create an ambience while showing the musicians playing.


Flamenco videos are huge lifeless crap, they can make a visceral buleria turn into Armik just by the looks... oh, and the dated reverb helps a lot too.

Here's the kind of video production that I would like to see more often. The sound is good, the looks are cinematic and there's plenty of guitar action.
