So how many of you actually use facial oil for lubrication? (Fingers, for playing guitar).

I have been doing it for a while and I know from hearsay that many apparently do. But I'm just curious now.

I can't be bothered with Vas.

I do. Classical guitarists do that too. I was shown the oil trick by my old teacher because I just washed my hands and the strings were "sticking" to it. My new teacher and another mate who also teaches flamenco also does it.

classic!!

I was playing a little gig the other day and the other guitarist came over and sprayed something on my fretboard. "thats fastfret, try it" didn't really notice the difference to be honest. just seems like a way to get suckers to spend money
I lubricate my right hand fingers but rubbing my nose, forehead or greasy hair!!![:o] that helps

Lutenists use saliva and face oil to improve consistency of tone for flesh only playing.

I don't use them much but I play with nails.
