Just came across a method to strengthen your (right) hand muscles (actually mainly the muscles of your lower arm) which is especially useful for alzapua, pulgar and abanico, in which the movement comes mainly from the wrist joint. It's effective for other techniques as well, if to a lesser degree: Do the appropriate movements slowly and deliberately UNDER WATER; the resistance of the water is just enough to train your muscles without straining them.
