etta -> Canin double top at one year (Apr. 5 2014 13:33:18)

I received this new spruce/brazilian double top one year ago. It was a fabulous instrument out of the box. It has improved even more, particularly in the bass. The mid-range and upper trebles were and are superior to anything I have heard. Despite rather heavy work on the tap plate, the sound board seems very substantial; it has survived much hard playing with no signs of damage or stress. This guitar is extremely responsive, loud, has great note separation/clarity, and it can produce sweetness or flamenco growl and grit. I have purchased two guitars directly from Glenn Canin. By chance I was able to make trades for two others. These guitars each have different combinations of woods, cedar, spruce, cypress, rosewood, and different tonal qualities; all are powerful and responsive. The double top is even more so. If I perceive any problems with this construction, I will report.
