Ricardo, If you are technically proficient removing the plates then I use LMI's white glue, mixed with a little distilled warm water, to glue the plate on the top. I rough the top's surface with 400 sand paper, remembering not to go through the finish, especially if it has color. And then rough underneath the tap plate for better glue hold, A little surface roughing is fine. I use a small veneer roller to push out the excess glue and air bubbles; cleaning the glue up from the roller and plate as I go. When most of the plate looks clear with no air bubbles, then I let it dry for a day or two, or until the entire plate looks clear. And the next time you need to replace a tap plate, it will come off with a little heat from a light or moist rag localized, on the plate, with a little hot water. And then you clean all the glue off the top with a warm moist rag and start over.
