I have a student flamenco guitar here. It´s my son´s. This guitar comes from Siccas Guitars in Karlruhe (Germany). Besides of their collection of big names flamencas, they offer a quite low priced flamenca. Its company name is Duke, model Flamenco. It is available in the standard design a version with cutaway and pickup for stage use. My son´s is the standard design.

Some info
Scale, width at nut: 650/52 mm
Top: Solid spruce
Body: Laminated cypress
Fingerboard: Indian rosewood, very hard and polished surface
Frets: Fine polished alpaca (new silver)
Strings: Tomatito normal tension
12 hole tieblock

One thing that could be better is the action at bridge. It is above 11 mm. So if you know you won´t play i or m golpe above the E6 string or have a long nailplate of about 22 mm or more, then this is no problem.

I´m very impressed about this guitar. Strong tone with a crispy substancy, sharp bite and fast response. I would consider it around 800 to 900 €. Standard price is 470 €. They have reduced it to 390 € but for this whole sunday, they give an extra discount of 55 € off. So if you´re out to make a decission, I hope this info may be useful.

Coupon code for extra discount: TDNFLOUSCFCCQUYLCG67OCLQ

The guitar is here: http://www.siccas.de/en/duke-flamenco-cut-lacorda/

My son´s guitar has found a buyer. I´ll get a new one in the second half of april for a video review with some more info on this particular guitar. It will be in German but I think about English subtitles.

Saludos
Bernd

Typical story. I´ve seen so many intentions on building flamenco guitars and its the same problem again and again. Why do they have to build flamenco guitars if they dont understand how the instrument is supposed to be working.
Normally they are just the batch classical guitar with a thin layer of cypres on the back and sides to make them look flamenki.

I generally agree, but not in all. Beside of the action this guitar for sure is a flamenca. The manufacturer behind this guitar is Hanika in Germany. He has made 2 or meanwhile 3 flamencas. The first two I could check. Truly I have to say these are true flamencas by the sound, but from an experienced flamenco guitar maker I expect an adequate bridge action that these particular guitars doesn´t provide. Hanika is famous classical guitar producer starting at upper midrange at a very good price ratio.

Then tell him to change his neck angle. Its not very difficult for an experienced builder.
Flamenco guitar sound is important but there are other aspects that are equally important or more important.
