I emailed Tomatito's contact inquiring about whether he would be coming to Canada anytime soon, and I was told that it was just not economically viable for him and his group to make the trek from Europe just for one or two shows. I hate to say this, but now that the Maestro is gone, perhaps Tomatito will have to tour more to spread the flamenco gospel. Could use some great flamenco shows here in Canada, it has been a long and cold winter. What was Tomatito's set like?

Emil_Krasich -> RE: Tomatito concert last night in Boston! (Mar. 19 2014 11:42:16) He had a wide range of forms but followed the program (definitely a few bulerias and por bulerias). A couple pieces were pretty much solo but he also has 2 other guitarists. Fantastic duo of singers and the percussionist was solid but primarily used the cajon. The dancer was spectacular but would have loved to see her in more of the tunes. They did not have an intermission but this was a Sunday evening concert. I was okay with no intermission [:)]
