I looked at as a custom attention getter not as a usable bike. But looking at the rear suspension! That's 50s stuff!. Another example of the Lotus brand being exploited But I have to wonder how many people have any idea what is behind that brand and does it mean anything today.

It doesnt turn me on at all I like this Ducati 1cylinder 350 with desmo valves. Light and really fun on a curvy backroad. But maybe i would change the front brakes. But gee, these engines really make music. Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px

My second bike. What a sweet machine it was tho the engine was just adequate. My last bike. Immeasurably better engineered Hated to part with it but the standard of driving in the US makes riding on the street very dangerous. Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px

The Norton Dominator 88 is kind of sweet with its big mudguards, featherbed frame and all painted appereance. Its from the time when motorbikes were made mostly to be used as a daily transport. Not so many had the money for a car in the 5oth The other one... not my style.

The only thing I am 6' but my legs are short and I had to devise a manner of mounting and dismounting as my feet would not touch the ground if the bike was level. It was developed from the KTM Dakar rally bikes that's why the high ground clearance. I still dream of being on my Dominator 88 after 60 years.
