Andy Culpepper -> Culpepper Negra #25 (Feb. 13 2014 0:02:09)
Hey everyone, I'm selling this negra for Lou Fagenson, who likes the guitar very much but asked me to help him sell it due to a family emergency. It's a unique custom guitar with a cutaway, Snakewood armrest bevel, thin (carbon fiber reinforced) neck, and a Bartlett mic that was installed later.
-Cedar top, Indian Rosewood back and sides. -Scale length/nut width 650/52
This guitar from me now would cost over $3600. Asking $2700.
I wanted to "keep her in the family" so to speak and give the members here first dibs, but since there is little interest and I have medical bills to pay, she goes up on ebay in the next few days. If you are interested, please email me. All offers considered.
I could be wrong, but it may be the variations in the wood or ?. There is also a mic clipped to the sound hole (Bartlett mic that uses phantom power for better control of dynamics). The guitar sounds spectacular. Lots of tone colors. You can see it on his blog:
Up on Ebay now. The Ebay software forces the seller to sell at 30% above the starting price, so the "buy it now" option is too high for a used instrument (unless you are a collector). Contact me with a reasonable offer and I'll remove the ebay listing. I want her to have a good home!
Guess that´s what people call "proof in the pudding". To sway over budget is one thing, holding a good guitar in hand and having a hard time to put it down is another.
