Hello everyone , I have just registered on this forum . I am 17 years old , and I have been playing flamenco for 5 years , so I am a beginner-intermediate flamenco guitarist :)

I have question related to picado techniques . Whenever I watch youtube tutorials about picado , they say that while playing picado you must avoid repeating the same finger . Frankly ,I didn't care about it before , but now when I payed attention to it I noticed that I am doing it wrong , for example I can play the entre dos aguas picado in 185 bpm with repeating the i finger when going upwards the strings , but I can't play it quickly when I try to change the fingers and it also seems not convenient to play in that way. So , is it a big disadvantage to play the picados in that way ? If yes , then what exercises can you advice for practicing ??

Practice triplet phrases and you will see why strict alternation is important. I compare picado to drum sticking and alternate picking...there is a reason to alternate and there are times a double stroke or drag across can be used. But they are very different sounding.
