etta -> Luthier 30 bass strings (Dec. 14 2013 12:49:31)

Does anyone have the tension figures on the Luthier 30 H.T. strings? They seem to have more tension than the Savarez Corum H.T. set. Thanks

I´m pretty sure they are lower tension than the Sav. Corum basses. The corum basses migh be more flexible and elastic. Luthier30 says medium high tension and i dont dont find them to be very hard. Just a tad tighter than Daddario J45.
My observations are "only" based on experience and not on fancy oficial tension figures. [8D]

Thanks Anders; I assumed they had less tension than the Corum H.T.s but they do seem stiffer with a little less definition than the easier playing, more flexible Corums. Still, they have lots of volume and punch.

According to published tension measurements Savarez corum HT are one of the highest tension strings, for example higher than d'addario extra hard. This concurs with my experience.

I don't think Luthier publish tension measurements? But I also find Luthier 30 medium tension, a lttle bit higher than D'addario EJ45. I needed to get Luthier 50 or 60 to achieve a similar feel to HT Corum.
