It has already been discussed I do believe a little while back when this guitar was first put on the website for sale.

That was actually made by Salvador Castillo to a special request.

That's a 9 string fanned fret guitar! I remember to read the review from the owner somewhere, who seemed to be quite satisfied with the result.

Diaz's guitar was previously discussed here:

Fanned fret guitars aren't new they are just rarely seen in the nylon string world. It's actually very welcome in the 7 and 8 string electric world as you get a more tension and better intonation on low strings. It makes it sound more piano like.

although not a flamenco guitar maybe a negra wanna-be? a 24 string guitar up for auction at the bay.

I've seen at least a dozen or so variations of this type of thing over the years.
This one is strung like a 13-course baroque lute. The first two courses are single strung, the remaining ones are double strung with the lower pitched courses in octave tuning.
That thing's gotta be a royal pain in the ass to tune with those cheap steel string tuning machines with small diameter rollers.

I'm trying to think of a good name for it.....Gute? Gutar? Guitute?

Imagine the pulsation of the bastard. It must be stiff as a brick in order to keep up with string tension.

imagine trying to balance that thing--one would need a crane to hold up the head. it would be interesting if paco was seen playing one of these. the conde clan would be in total chaos trying to crank these puppies out.

Deleted.
Link didn't work.
