The sound sample gives an idea of the bright, raspy, ringing sound of this one, but as usual, apologies for the limited playing, and my limited recording kit.

Hi Kevin,

Is this still for sale ?

It sounds nice and crisp. How do you feel the cedar is different to the spruce ones that you have made ? I have played the guitars that Louis and Lawrence own and they are nice loud guitars great for dance.

Cheers

Simon
Yes still for sale; selling is not my strong point.

And describing sound is tricky. But the main thing about cedar is that it produces a bright ringing sound, very flamenco. Many people like this. Actually I prefer a drier, cleaner sound myself. My own guitars (one blanca and one negra) are both spruce tops.

But this is a lovely instrument with a nice setup; easy to play and loud too.

looks good mate.. do you ever do cutaways?

krichards -> RE: Kevin Richards No 32 Cedar Blanca (Dec. 24 2013 7:46:50)

I've done steel strung cutaways in the past, but as far as flamenco is concerned I'm very traditional, so no.
