by any chance going to travel from USA ( state of NY) to Azerbaijan or Iran that soon?
And could carry a precious guitar with himself?
More even, self-confident enough to slip it inside the planes cabine / not let it go into the luggage department?

I know someone who would make a rain dance for you if you took pity and carefully schlepped that thing for him. ( Sturdily packed weighing 9 kg, or much less if just in its case.)
And if you could use pocket money something over 100 bucks should be possible, naturally.

So far shipping has not been dared because of double risk of damage, once with freight through diverse stations, and next in customs department.

Did you sell a guitar there?

Sorry, I'm not planning to travel to Aserbaijan nor Iran in the foreseeable future. I have a good deal of experience schlepping guitars on planes. I finally bought a really stout flight case and checked it as baggage. Never had any trouble.

I'm puzzled though, why you can afford a "precious guitar" but can't leave that place you so heartily despise? I'd like to see you in some place more congenial.

Well, I could buy a precious guitar, but i couldnt leave where I live right now without economical disaster. Maybe you havent heard about value of houses being devaluated 60 - 70% in many parts of the world. (they really did screw us this time)

Ruphus -> RE: None of the ol´n trusted members (Dec. 8 2013 9:31:41)

Anders just nailed it, Richard.
Further, I can´t just let go what scum has done to me. Can´t leave without having at least tried to get some folks jailed first.
To get your right you need some bribe money first ( ask Transparency International ) which I am working on.
( That´s the way things work. With the major of cases being well proven, the riffraff consultet a higher `dignitary´and paid him a fraction of the prey. My file of action was then simply closed without any session and even claimed that I had been informed beforehand. All obvious as instigation through lacking signature and chronological disorder of the papers and orders. But arbitrariness being so complete that you can´t do anything about it still. ... Other than finding an even higher head and donating for to have your case be opened again. Even though according to law closed files can´t be opened again.)
We are talking very different sums than those for any guitar.

I thank you guys dearly for wishing me another place. I am so craving for it.
What a grind for any rational and straight mind set.
You don´t know of the terror alone you have to go through when you keep dogs. Daily since almost two years now.

Decency is eroding now everywhere, standards disintegrating; and yet when I watch western TV with low or no fences, no bars before home windows, freedom of taste or even just some trusting dog in peace ( mine have become vary against anyone but me, and even the most brave of them turned into jumpy / hysterical. Mind you, with intensive care of mine, yet preserved so much more sane than they would had without.)
And yet, have I been close to letting two of them euthanazise, just days ago. Just can´t bear it anymore. The archaic mob got me just an inch away from ruining my own life.

These days I have been recalling Costa Rica. With Ticos not so uncommonly running after you to hand you your forgotten wallet, and even wild-life walking around your legs on the university campus.
Then your day dream bursts and you´re back to where there´s been no philosophy and common denominator of sincerity, but instead a doctrin that allows deceiving as means of campaign, consequently founding convertible justification for any irresponsibility.

There is now some promise to be heard about distancing from archaea, and it does give me some hope. However, there is no practical result of it to be seen yet.

Ramzi, with your perfidious asking: Tell you what I dislike about you expats.
You do not return to tell about the Sodom & Gomorra that you see at home then, lest to request a basic change. ( You won´t even care enough to simply put the terminology of all the foreign terms straight that are being wrongly used.) Instead disguising blatant discrepancy and pretend as if it were just another part of the same world.
Many even, in place of consciously enjoying a level of civilisation and decency will dismiss it as if it was no special achievement and import irrational tradition to abroad.

Richard,

Too bad you are not coming into the area. With you I would had been very relaxed about everything going well. And we might had have a chance for meeting somewhere around that periphery.

Here we go again....

Ruphus -> RE: None of the ol´n trusted members (Dec. 8 2013 11:57:50)

Yeah, just leave it be, innit.
No big deal really with not ethical standards in place.

Only watch out for the femals of your tribe to stay away from potential lovers, that shall do for decency.

And while dismissing all that´s empirical, logical and upright, you can just take over western material products and level things out that way. Isn´t it.
The world is a cake. Just take the slices you think are needed.

Exactly, i prefer to buy first class food for my dog in the west
and talk with him all day long instead of talking with my own children,
then go and bomb the sh.it out of anybody in the middle east, and
where i can't bomb them directly on their head, i start some
nice and colorful revolutions and finance the most extreme terrorists,
then call them "democrats", and let them fight eachother until
everyone is dead, then go "help" them to build "democracy".
Then laugh my democratic and civilized and ethical a.ss off.

Listen, i decided to usually keep out of political bullshiit
and prefer to post phalus pics if i'm in the mood for posting
bullshiit. That doesn't mean i can't write novels as you do
and destroy all your BS in few minutes.
But It would get really ugly and messy here and i don't want that.
So don't insist on it by constantly provoking with your one sided
continous demonizing everything and everyone from middle east.
While i understand some of your concerns, you are extremely exaggerating
many issues since months now with your populist methods.
I'm here for flamenco mixed with some nonsence and fun
to relax. Not for politics, religion and all that BS which always
lead to world wars in forums. I learned that most people are nice,
no matter where they live or where they come from. But as soon as
political BS starts, everything gets messed up and nasty.
Thats a general and proven fact.

And lastly, don't construct theories and biographies about people you
don't know anything about, just because they are living somewhere
else, be it Germany like me, or US now in case of Ramzi or
anybody else. You don't know anything about anybody here, so don't do that.
I like discussions about science, astronomy, etc.
But politics SUCKSSSS and always causes trouble. Even with your
best friends.
