I was wondering if this guitar could be flamed cypress it looks more like maple to me ? It was advertised as flamed cypress with a cedar top.
All thoughts are welcome

Could be, with finish all over it it's tough to say definitively but maple GENERALLY tends to be whiter.

EDIT: I suck.

In my eyes, it looks 100% like maple/sycamore that has been colored slightly

The crap about this kind of figured woods for the back & sides is that they seem to never match the top. It always looks to me that the b&s are "embracing/containing" the top. [&:]
